Dad’s Favorite Infant Carrier
Baby Slinging Dad, Part III
Many have erroneously perceived that baby wearing is traditionally viewed as mom’s responsibility. When searching for baby carriers, pouches, ring slings, wraps (wrap around carriers), or backpack carriers most styles and patterns are designed for mom. It’s not hard to imagine why dad finds it hard to get excited. GREAT NEWS!!! Styles, colors and patterns are now being introduced for dad.
As I became more experienced with the various baby carriers I developed my favorites. For newborns (infants to 1 year), my favorite carrier is the Moby wrap. The Moby wrap is one long piece of stretchy fabric that comes in many colors. There is a small learning curve (takes about 3-5 attempts) to master this carrier.
The Moby Wrap is an inexpensive way to get started wearing your baby. The stretchy material provides leniency for beginners. The Moby can be worn all day long (with minimal adjustments). It can become a bit warm (can be modified to allow for increased airflow) but mostly provides a secure cozy nesting environment for your child.
I recommend this carrier for anyone who’s a novice carrying your baby. You’ll be glad you did
